On behalf of the Computer Engineering Department's Staff, it is my pleasure to welcome you.
The Department of Computer Engineering offers students a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering that suits their academic interest and market needs.
Computer engineering students are studying a wide array of subjects, including computer organization, programming languages, communication, database management systems, data structure and algorithms, control systems, electronics, microprocessors, and artificial intelligence. The students are exposed to the broad spectrum of computer hardware and software engineering courses . Our students are supplied with the knowledge and skills needed for high-quality engineering work and to improve their ability and skills with a broad intellectual spectrum so that they will be ready for diverse and competitive career paths.
Educating students is the main goal of our department. We strive to engage students in practical group projects and encourage research and information exchange with students at major local and international universities. One of our projects was to send students to Slovenia to spend a full semester there in one of the most prestigious universities interested in the field of computers.

Department of Computer Engineering
The Computer Engineering program provides the theoretical and practical knowledge needed to design and analyze computer applications, create and manage computer networks. The students are trained in the following main fields: programming, digital systems, microcontrollers, integrated systems, networks, artificial intelligence, operating systems, database designs and implementation; system development and project management . The Department of Computer Engineering appointed teaching staff with diverse experiences to attract scientific competencies in addition to the presence of laboratories and the availability of modern educational means. The department periodically develops and updates study plans to keep pace with global developments in the field of computer engineering and technology.The study duration of this program is ten semesters, the student during these semesters applies software & hardware competencies and skills that allow a proper programing, designing, developing, testing and supervising computer applications and networks.
Objectives
- Prepare productive and responsible professionals in their field capable of communicating effectively with coworkers and stakeholders.
- Compete in postgraduate programs in computer engineering and other related subjects.
- Take part in the society development by advancing the fields of computer engineering through innovations in teaching and research.
- Utilize the necessary techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools for engineering practices.
- Prepare leading intellectual in industry, government, and academia.
- Equip students with principles, tools, and skills in computer engineering as well asscientific, mathematical, and technical fields.
- To encourage about innovations related to the different areas of technologies.
- Prompt graduates for effective participation in the sustainable development of the Palestinian society.
